Recurziv is a digital studio in Panaji, Goa, India. This page explains, in plain language, what happens to your data when you visit recurziv.com and talk with DAINA — our AI studio guide. We’ve kept it honest and short. If anything’s unclear, email us at contact@recurziv.com and a human will answer.
The short version
- We read a few signals about your visit so DAINA can hold a more relevant conversation — never anything we sell, rent, or trade.
- Your chat and voice input answer you in the moment; with your consent we also keep your questions (contact details removed) to improve our FAQ, and save a full conversation only if you ask us to follow up.
- You’re always in control: decline the banner, mute the voice, skip the mic, or just read along.
- No advertising networks, no cross-site tracking, no data brokers.
- If you allow it, we separately collect anonymous aggregate usage information — how pages are viewed, how visitors move between them, where they click — so we can understand and improve the experience itself. This is off until you say yes, entirely separate from DAINA, never linked to anything that could identify you, and you can withdraw it any time from this page.
Who we are
Recurziv, in Panaji, Goa, is responsible for your data on this site (in India’s data-protection law, the “Data Fiduciary”). Any question about your data, a request, or a concern — big or small — reaches a real person at contact@recurziv.com or +91 98236 35683. That’s also who to write to if you ever want to raise a grievance.
What we collect, and why
Visit signals
When you arrive, our system reads ordinary technical signals about your visit — your browser and device type, screen size, the page that referred you, and an approximate region worked out from your IP address. Your IP address itself is not stored in the clear; it is one-way hashed. We use these signals so DAINA can greet you sensibly and tailor the conversation (for example, recognising a returning visitor, or adjusting to your region). When you first arrive you’ll see a short banner: choosing “no thanks” triggers an immediate server-side wipe of that visit’s session and turns off DAINA’s memory and personalisation. This is a separate choice from experience analytics, described below — declining here has no effect on that choice either way.
Your conversation with DAINA
The messages you type or speak are sent to a language-model service to generate DAINA’s reply, which we don’t retain from that step. The running conversation lives in your browser. If you’ve agreed to analytics, we keep a copy of your individual questions — with any contact details removed — to understand what visitors ask and improve our FAQ; decline analytics and we keep nothing. We save the full conversation, and pass it to our team, only when you ask us to follow up — for example, when you share your name, email, or phone number, or click “get a quote.” The language-model service is currently hosted outside India, and only ever receives your message and a little context (such as your first name or industry, if you’ve shared them) to compose the reply. Please don’t type anything into the chat that you wouldn’t want us to read.
Experience analytics
Separately from DAINA, and only if you allow it, we collect anonymous aggregate usage information — things like which pages are viewed, how visitors move between them, and where they click. This is designed to help us understand overall website usage and improve the experience, without identifying individual visitors. It uses a temporary, rotating session marker (not a persistent identifier), is never combined with your name, contact details, or anything you share with DAINA, and is stored completely separately. We keep it for 90 days, after which it’s automatically deleted.
This is off until you make a positive choice below — it is a separate decision from the DAINA banner above and doesn’t affect anything else on this page. You can allow it, decline it, or change your mind later at any time; withdrawing takes effect immediately.
Experience analytics: currently allowed / not allowed — set your choice below.
Voice — the mic and the face
DAINA can listen and speak, but only on your terms:
- Microphone: the mic is off until you tap the mic button, and it shows an active indicator while listening. Speech-to-text is handled by your own browser or operating system; depending on your browser, the audio may be processed by your browser or OS provider under their privacy policy, not ours. We don’t store your audio.
- Voice output: DAINA’s spoken replies are generated on our own servers. Occasionally, if that is unavailable, a third-party voice service may be used as a fallback to turn the reply text into speech. You can silence the voice at any time with the sound toggle, or choose “continue without sound.”
When you get in touch
If you fill in the contact form or share details in chat, we collect what you give us — typically your name, email or phone, and a line about your project — and use it solely to reply and, if it goes further, to scope your work. These enquiries are emailed to our team and stored so we can follow up.
On your device
We store a small amount of information in your browser (local storage) — such as a session identifier, your consent choice, and whether you turned sound on. This stays on your device and lets the experience remember your preferences. You can clear it any time through your browser settings.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell, rent, or trade your data — ever.
- We don’t run advertising networks or third-party ad trackers.
- We don’t build cross-site profiles or share data with data brokers.
- We don’t collect more personal information than a conversation needs.
- We never combine anonymous usage analytics with anything that could identify you, and never use it to build a profile of you.
Where it’s kept
We host the site on our own secure servers in Europe, and we run our own voice engine — so your data isn’t scattered across a dozen ad platforms. The one thing that leaves us is your chat message: it’s sent to a language-model service (currently hosted outside India) purely to compose DAINA’s reply, and nothing more. All of this is permitted under India’s data-protection rules, each provider only ever sees what it needs to do its job, and we’re glad to name the specific ones if you ask.
How long we keep things
Visit signals are kept only as long as they’re useful for DAINA’s personalisation, and are wiped immediately if you decline the banner. Anonymous usage analytics is kept separately for 90 days, then automatically deleted. Enquiries and the conversations attached to them are kept for up to two years after our last contact, then automatically deleted — and you can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time.
Your data, your call
You’re in control here — decline analytics when you arrive, mute DAINA, skip the mic, or clear your browser storage whenever you like. And any time, you can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — and you can withdraw your consent as easily as you gave it. You can download or delete everything we hold for this browser right here, using the controls at the bottom of this page. For a correction — or for data tied to your email rather than this browser — email contact@recurziv.com and we’ll sort it out quickly. If we ever fall short, you’re also free to raise it with the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children, and we don’t knowingly collect information from — or build any profile of — anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has shared details with us, tell us and we’ll remove them.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we’ll update this page and refresh the “last updated” date below. For anything you’re unsure about, the fastest answer is to just ask DAINA — or email a human at contact@recurziv.com.
