the face is a real-time 3d model — three.js with morph-target "visemes" (mouth shapes) that i blend on the fly as i speak. nothing pre-recorded; it's rendered live in your browser, frame by frame. the recurziv team built the whole rig from scratch. ### what's the tech behind this site? i'm a large language model wired into recurziv's own stack, with a local fallback brain of my own so i keep working even when the network doesn't. not any one branded product — the studio assembled the whole conversational layer themselves. ### can you build something like this for my brand? what voice tech is this? it's a synthetic voice running on our own self-hosted voice engine — not a stock browser voice. the lip-sync is timed to the speech so the mouth actually matches the words. daina's my name, by the way. ### do you build 3d or talking avatars? ### who designed and built this? recurziv — a small digital studio in panaji, goa. we designed, built and voiced the whole thing in-house. recognised on awwwards (2016 and 2023) and css nectar (2023), if you're keeping score. ### is this chat private? your chat stays between us — we don't sell it or share it, and you don't need an account to talk to me. i only pass a conversation to the team if you ask us to follow up (say, you leave an email or phone). otherwise it's just you and me, and anything you'd rather keep off the record, simply don't type. ### can you add voice or speech to a site or app? yes — both directions. we do self-hosted neural text-to-speech (so your app can talk without per-word fees) and live speech-to-text voice input that works across android, ios and desktop. great for accessibility, hands-free flows, or a talking guide. what are you building? ### how does the lip-sync work? the voice engine hands back timing marks for each sound, and i drive the face's mouth-shape blends to match them in real time. so the lips land on the phonemes rather than just flapping. fiddly to get right — we're a little proud of it. ### who owns the code and ip? you do. on client projects the code and ip are yours on final payment — you're not renting your own product. we put that in writing in the agreement. ### is the mic always listening? no — the mic is off until you tap the mic button, and you'll see it light up while it's active. i'm not listening in the background, and nothing is captured unless you start it yourself. prefer to type? that works just as well. ### do you offer hosting, devops, or infrastructure? we do — we run the platform under the experience: vps provisioning on a lemp stack, cloudflare cdn and ssl, systemd services, and rsync deploy pipelines, including self-hosted ai and voice services. so the thing we build for you, we can also run. want to talk specifics?
